Dr. Olsen is the Residency Program Director and leads the educational program for the residents. Primary care is an important part of his emphasis. Dr. Olsen finished a family practice residency prior to beginning his OB/GYN residency. He completed residency in Chattanooga in 1991, and then stayed on there his first year in practice. He then joined the faculty at ETSU.
He has an interest in pediatric and adolescent gynecology and works with the residents in a teen OB clinic every Tuesday morning and sees adult patients Thursday morning and Friday afternoon. Dr. Olsen's outside interests include photography, Appalachian literature and taking trips with his family.
